The prophet Isaiah proclaimed the Word of the Lord that said, “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no savior” (43:10,11). This profound truth has resonated throughout the ages. The Lord who has saved us has also called us to be His witnesses.
There are many ways we can witness. Our mind often goes to sharing our faith with others in a conversation. This is certainly appropriate, and we should do so every chance we get. However, we can be witnesses at all times even when we are not speaking. The best way we can show the glory of the Lord is through our lifestyles. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch because they were like Jesus.
Every day we need to strive to walk with the Lord in the beauty of holiness. As this world continues to grow darker, our light will continue to shine brighter. Our families can impact the world around us when we manifest the glory of God. It is incumbent upon us as parents to teach our children how to walk in a way that is pleasing to the Lord and that shows His glory to an ungodly world.
